Kevin’s Quality Clothespins Giveaway

Since today is “Hanging Out Day,” we are excited that our Spring Fling Giveaway today is for a set of 20 beautiful handcrafted America made clothespins from Kevin’s Quality Clothespins!

What is Hanging out Day? It’s a day to conserve energy! Did you know that using an electric dryers can account for six to ten percent of a household’s energy consumption!?!? I don’t know about you, but to me, that’s just crazy!

Hanging your wash out to dry is not only a financially sound way to save money and use less electricity, but decrease your carbon foot print. It makes you feel good, doesn’t it (or it will once you start doing it!) Now you can take that good feeling a step further by using a product that is handcrafted right here in America by Kevin’s Quality Clothespins.

Like most of you, I was accustomed to the “cheapy” pins, you know the kind….. lightweight, wiggly, slipping off the spring, breaking every other load……  cheap, cruddy clothespins. If you’re going to line dry, you need pins, but boy can those cheap pins irk you on a regular bases. Kevin’s Quality Clothespins are head and shoulders above the pins you are used to. From the moment you hold them in your hand and compare them to the “cheapy” pins, you can feel the weight of them (in a good way.) They open so much nicer and have a grip to them when you put them on the line. And they don’t wiggle at the spring area as you use them. You can SEE the difference when you look at them side by side. Seriously, take a peek…..

These heavy-duty clothespins are made out of locally supplied Maple wood. The springs are made of stainless steel (so they will never rust) and in a heavier gauge of wire then “cheapy” pins. The finished clothespins are coated with Linseed Oil (which doesn’t bleed or stain onto your clothing)  to help them resist weathering. The pins measure 3 1/2 inches and open 1/2″. Not only are these pins built better then the cheap pins, they ware breathtaking! Yes, I am talking about a clothespin. Unlike the “cheapy” pins, these things are eye candy. You could tell they are handcrafted and quality!

I am so excited that one of you will have the chance to win a set of 20 of these amazing clothespins! You can enter below or if you prefer to just buy a set, you can click on over to Kevin’s Quality Clothespin’s store! Either way, make sure you celebrate “Hanging Out Day!”

  1. Great giveaway! Very unique too. I always have a heck of a time with clothespins we purchase from Walmart and we seem to have to replace them every couple of years. These ones look so much more durable! This is a must to have for any household that counts on having a clothesline. The other thing that is an essential is a durable cotton clothesline rope.
I am very adament about having a clothesline. I believe that not only that it is green, it is frugal as well. We have on our small homestead here in this tiny city. There was a t-structure here when we moved into the downstairs apartment here in the house that didn't have a line but the landlord said to go ahead and put up a line and we put one up in the next couple after we moved in. It has served us well in the past three years. I use it when I am able to go out and use it. I would say that it gets used more than the dryer in the four or five months that we don't have snow. I had one growing up as a child on my parents' farm in the country so I am not a stranger around one.

  2. I love to line dry. I don't do it as much as I would like. I take care of my Mom who has late stage Alzheimer's dementia, in the summer I like to line dry her bed sheets and pads. I think it makes them smell much better.

  3. We line dry as much as we possibly can…when we bought this house one of the first things I bought was an old fashioned umbrella type clothesline. I love the smell of line dried laundry! And the towels absorb more too!
