A Week of Homestead Photos March 13th-19th

It sure felt like spring at the beginning of the week, but sadly the temps have dropped back down again. At least there has been no snow! I always have to look for that silver lining!

Our two new chicks got a little sister on Friday. Hubby picked me up a Black Jersey Giant on his way home from work. Awwww he does love me. I really need to get a picture of her for you next week as she is too cute.

Yesterday I got to spend the whole day out and about with my best friend. We don’t get to hang out often, but when we do, watch out world and craft stores!! While I didn’t buy much, I had a blast getting away for a day of girl fun.

So what made me smile this week?

Attack of the giant chickens!!!!! Hubby put his phone camera on forward facing so the chickens could look at themselves (I have no idea why LOL) and accidentally took this photo. It totally cracked me up.

Hubby used his dremel tool to etch a maple leaf on one of the
jars for our maple syrup we made this year. He is so talented!

“Fork over the tortilla chips kid and no one gets hurt.”

Little Fifi and Wanda are a week old and already getting some big girl feathers.

Of course when you are taking pictures of chicks, the cat has to show up. He went to
reach for Fifi and she pecked him on his paw!

Ms. Ester is such a beautiful girl. I love her feathers and that sparkle in her eye.

Grumpy Goldie was not impressed with the St. Patrick’s Day cabbage
offering. But she will eat Styrofoam?!?!?

Poor Baby Girl, she was not thrilled about being loved on. But I
couldn’t help cuddling her, I mean look at that face!

Remember to take time out of your busy day to find your own things to make you smile!

    1. I never try to pick a favorite. I just like looking back and smiling. To pick a favorite moment of joy would be soooo difficult.
