Bacon Bark Recipe

Want to offer up a holiday classic with a twist? Then forget peppermint bark and whip up some BACON bark. Yes, I said bacon!

Ingredients
1 packages store-bought bacon, no special flavor, cooked crispy
2 sticks of butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 packages semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper or tinfoil. Break up the cooked bacon into pieces and made a layer across the cookie sheet with them.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.  As soon as it melts, add the brown sugar, stirring till it dissolved. Stir, stir, stir so it doesn’t burn. When it becomes caramel brown color and kind of “fluffy” (about 5 minutes), poured it over the bacon pieces on the cookie sheet.

Pop the sheet into the oven for 5 minutes. Next take it out and pour your bag of chocolate chips evenly across the top of the caramel-bacon mixture. Pop it back in the oven for another 5 minutes. This will cause the chocolate to melt and you will be able to gently smooth it out with a spatula for an even coating.

Put the cookie sheet in the freezer for a few hours to set. When you remove it from the freezer, peel the tinfoil or wax paper off, and break the bark into pieces to serve”
