Brrrrrr!! That’s right, I said it, brrrrr. I am so not ready for these 40 degree mornings we have had this week. Cleaning a duck pool is no fun, but having your fingers go numb too is just too much! But there have been plenty of things this week to make me smile and forget the cold winds that are a blowin. Halloween is one of our family’s favorite holidays and we are all getting revved up for our annual Halloween camping trip. So what was so wonderful about this week?

The oldest country kid and I got to see the eclipse through the breaks in the clouds. |
Bill and Betty are starting to become friendly again now that the ducklings are grown. |
Burst of fall blooms grace our yard. |
Okay, the spider didn’t make me smile, but the fact the oldest country kid took such a good photo of it did! |
The pepper plants are still producing! |
Lizzy the homeschool class pet has shed for the second time in a month! She is growing fast!! |
4H craft club time, pumpkin jars. |
The oldest country kid’s Grim Reaper costume I sewed for him. |
He wanted to be a squirrel for Halloween, I think I did pretty good. Did I mention it was a total pain in the butt to make? LOL |
Remember to take time out of your busy day to find your own things to make you smile!
While both of the boys costumes are terrific, the squirrel is just AWESOME!
