A Week of Homestead Photos July 3rd – 9th

And another week is in the books. We have had lots of Leave it to Beaver summer fun this week playing with friends, swimming, going to the park and watching a free movie at the near by mom and pop theater. I love that we still live in an area where there are free and affordable things for kids to do in the summer.

We stayed home this year for the fourth and had a small backyard display. Our neighbors joined us as we oohhhed and ahhhed over our little fountains. In this crazy world, it was so nice not to have to fight the crowds or deal with other people’s drama.

Hubby and I also celebrated our 13th anniversary this week as well. 13 loooooong years. LOL Here is to another 13 long years.

So what made me smile this week?

The raspberries are ripening, the raspberries are ripening!!!!

*drool* Don’t worry, it is no one we know! LOL

Just a little old fashion fun with sparklers.

Heidi the homestead hound rocking her 4th of July look.

Mr Bill and Betty going for a stroll.

The litlest country kid was so proud to be part of the patriotic parade at the park!

I love a super extra fluffy bum. Rock it big butt Buffy!

I told him he had to wear his life jacket, guess I should of told him he had to wear his swim trucks too! LOL

This is such an awesome photo and do you know why? Because this is my friends goose, who last year tried to be broody on a pile of rocks. This year she tried to hatch golf balls. Hey, we never said Goosey was a rock scientist. Well my friend found a place to get a couple goose eggs and Goosey has finally realized her dream of hatching something….. anything! LOL Congrats Ms. Gossey, your goslings are adorable! See folks, never give up, miracles can happen!

While I am disappointed Maria turned out to be a Mario and I will never have
dark chocolate eggs in my nest box, I am happy I found a good home for him.
My sweet Cinder. Black animals sure are hard to photograph! Dang camera wouldn’t focus.
One of the games we will play at my niece’s baby shower I am throwing. Hope everyone has a good sense of humor!

Remember to take time out of your busy day to find your own things to make you smile!

  1. As always, you guys always have the best time!!

Thanks for joining Cooking and Crafting with J & J!

  2. Omg that baby shower game! lmao Love checking out pics of what's going on around other people's homesteads. Our black raspberries are pretty much done already. 🙁 Which would be ok because the wild blackberries are taking off now…but I don't like the way they taste. :/

    1. My hubby loves the blackberries! We planted some this year but I think the chickens got em 🙁
